Miss Christina Johannes
Kindergarten, Drama Director

Miss Johannes is a graduate of Bethel University. This is her second year at Bethany Academy. She has previous teaching experience obtained from the Child Development Center in St. Paul. Christina loves children and has a passion for music and drama.

Mrs. Bonnie Dahlen
First Grade

Mrs. Dahlen has taught at Bethany Academy for 24 years. She graduated from the Bethany College of Missions and then received her B.S. from Mayville State University in North Dakota.  Bonnie and her husband Tom were missionaries in Brazil for 15 years before coming to the Academy. The Dahlens have two sons and one daughter who are alumni and a grandson who is attending Bethany Academy.

Miss Joni Parrish
Second Grade, Coach

Miss Parrish is an alumna of Bethany Academy. She graduated from Northwestern College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Bible. Joni spent some time teaching English in Asia and is in her third year teaching at Bethany Academy. Joni also coaches the JV girls’ basketball team.

Mrs. Laurie Dahlen
Third Grade

Mrs. Dahlen has her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. This is her first year at Bethany Academy.  Laurie has a passion for sharing her faith and she loves children’s literature. Laurie’s husband, Steve, is an alumnus of Bethany Academy.

Mr. Aaron Day
Fourth Grade
, Coach

Mr. Day is a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Duluth and has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in History. He is the boys’ soccer coach for 5th-8th grade and Junior Varsity. He also tutors teens. Aaron enjoys sports, reading, and hanging out with family and friends.

Mr. John Michelau
Fifth Grade

Mr. Michelau is in his 30th year of teaching at Bethany Academy. He has a B.A. degree from Huron University, South Dakota, a B.A. in Bible and Missions from Bethany College of Missions, and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration from the University of St. Thomas.  John and his wife Kathy have two children who attend Bethany Academy.

Mr. Tim Morrison
Elementary Principal
Sixth Grade

Mr. Morrison is enjoying his 6th year at Bethany Academy. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Elementary Education and has a Masters Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.  He has 16 years of teaching experience.  He enjoys reading, bicycling and volunteering for church activities.  Tim and his wife, Wendy, have one daughter.

Mrs. Jane Allison
Music

Mrs. Allison is in her 19th year at Bethany Academy as the Elementary Music Specialist. She also accompanies the secondary music groups. She has an extensive background in theory and composition, vocal and instrumental arranging, church music, and Hebraic music.  Jane has enjoyed a career in music ministry that spans four decades and stretches over three continents.  The Allisons have two sons who are alumni of Bethany Academy.

Mr. Aaron Petersen
Band
, Choir

This is Mr. Petersen’s second year at Bethany Academy. He graduated from Crown College with a B.S. degree in Music Education. His main instruments are trumpet, drums, and voice. He has been in music groups that have toured all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. Aaron and his wife, Nikki, have one son.

Mrs. Ginger Kendrick

This is Mrs. Kendrick’s 8th year at Bethany Academy.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Physical Education and Health.    Ginger and her husband Tim have a son with special needs, one daughter who attends the Academy and one who graduated from Bethany Academy.

Mrs. Kelli Kasperek

Librarian

Mrs. Kasperek has a B.S. degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. This is her 5th year at Bethany Academy. Kelli and her husband, Tom, have three children who attend the Academy.
